The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the suspension of its National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and three other top party officials over alleged anti-party activities.

Also suspended are Kamaldeen Ajibade, the National Legal Adviser; Okechukwu Osuoha, Deputy Legal Adviser; and Umaru Bature, the National Organising Secretary.

The announcement was made by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, during a press conference on Saturday in Abuja.

According to Ologunagba, the decision followed an emergency meeting of the NWC, which deliberated extensively on recent developments within the party.

He said the suspensions take immediate effect, pending the conclusion of investigations into allegations of anti-party conduct against the affected officials.

The move comes amid ongoing internal tensions within the PDP, particularly following the fallout between key party figures and the camp loyal to former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike.

The PDP leadership reiterated its commitment to discipline and unity, warning that it will not tolerate actions capable of undermining the party’s cohesion ahead of future elections.
