Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo has expressed satisfaction with the quality of work on the ongoing reconstruction of Ogheghe Road and Old Sapele Road in Benin City following an unscheduled inspection of the projects earlier today.

The governor, however, directed the contractors handling the projects to increase the pace of work in order to fully take advantage of the dry season and ensure timely completion.

Governor Okpebholo said the road projects are particularly important to his administration as they respond to long-standing concerns by residents over flooding, erosion, and safety challenges in the affected communities.

“These projects are critical to improving the safety and quality of life of our people. We are committed to delivering these roads on schedule and to the right standards because our people deserve safe and durable infrastructure,” the governor said.

The inspection, according to him, reflects his administration’s commitment to quality infrastructure delivery and sustainable urban development in Benin City.
