The Governor of Anambra State, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has expressed dissatisfaction over the late resumption of some civil servants following an unscheduled visit to the State Civil Service Secretariat.
In a statement shared on Thursday, the governor said he arrived at the secretariat at about 10 a.m. and observed that a number of workers had yet to report for duty.
While criticizing absentee staff, Soludo commended those he met at their duty posts, describing them as dedicated and hardworking.
“I must commend the civil servants I met in their respective offices. Your diligence is the backbone of our service. Keep pushing,” he said.
The governor, however, issued a stern warning to workers who failed to show up, stressing that his administration is committed to building an efficient and productive civil service.
“To those who didn’t show up: we are watching. If you are not committed, please make way for those who are,” he added.
Soludo reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to strengthen accountability and improve service delivery across the state’s public sector.
