The Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo has lauded President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday, praising his leadership style and commitment to national development.
In a congratulatory message, Okpebholo described the President as a “father and mentor,” noting that while Tinubu’s place in Nigeria’s history is already established, his personal impact remains deeply significant to him.
According to the governor, Tinubu’s leadership has been marked by courage and purpose, particularly in tackling the country’s most pressing challenges through what he called “bold and necessary decisions” aimed at fostering economic stability, institutional reforms, and long-term prosperity.
He further commended the administration’s , stating that it has helped restore optimism among Nigerians and redefined governance through sacrifice, vision, and decisive action.
Okpebholo also reaffirmed Edo State’s alignment with the President’s vision, expressing appreciation for Tinubu’s continued support and guidance, which he said has contributed to progress in the state.
“Your confidence in our administration continues to inspire us to deliver practical, people-centered governance,” he said.
The governor emphasized that Tinubu has demonstrated strong political will, adding that his leadership reflects conviction and a readiness to take difficult but necessary decisions in the interest of the nation.
He concluded with prayers for the President’s continued strength, wisdom, and good health, expressing confidence that history would honour his legacy.
Tinubu turned 74 on Saturday.
