A yet-to-be identified pregnant woman in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Governrent Area of Delta State has been allegedly shot dead by security operatives, Operation Delta Sweep, brought into the community to tackle crime in the area.
Security sources said the said lady was hit by a bullet fired by a military officer in the team who opened fire on a car suspected to belong to a yahoo boy identified as Sheriff.
According to information gathered, the security operative shot at the vehicle after Sheriff failed to stop for a search when he was asked to do so by the security outfit.
The lady who was later rushed to the Government Hospital in Eku was reportedly confirmed dead by doctors on duty.
