Abuja — Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has dismissed a widely circulated video allegedly showing him massaging a woman’s feet aboard a private jet, describing it as a fabrication generated using artificial intelligence (AI).
Oshiomhole made the clarification following the spread of the controversial clip on social media on Tuesday. The video depicts a man resembling the former labour leader engaged in a lighthearted conversation with a woman, whose feet are seen resting on his lap while he appears to massage them.
Reacting to the viral footage, Oshiomhole categorically denied its authenticity, insisting that the video was digitally manipulated and did not depict him in any such scenario.
The video had initially sparked public speculation after the woman was misidentified as Lara Fortes, the wife of the senator representing Edo North Senatorial District. However, subsequent reports clarified that the woman in the footage is Leshaan Dagama, a South African lifestyle influencer and adult content creator.
The incident has since reignited conversations around the misuse of artificial intelligence and deepfake technology, particularly its growing role in misinformation and reputational damage on social media platforms.
Oshiomhole urged the public to exercise caution when consuming and sharing online content, stressing the need for greater awareness of AI-generated materials.
