In a heartfelt reflection on selfless service, Sr. Gina King has called on Christians to embrace genuine generosity by giving without expecting recognition or reward in return.
In her message, she observed that many people including those in churches, families, and communities often give with underlying expectations of praise, honour, or public acknowledgment. According to her, such motives fall short of true generosity.
“True giving does not measure its worth by human recognition,” she emphasised, noting that authentic generosity flows from a heart transformed by Christ rather than from a desire to be noticed or applauded.
Sr. King reminded the faithful that blessings received from God should inspire them to bless others freely, not as a means of gaining something in return. While acknowledging that God can multiply acts of kindness, she stressed that divine rewards are not meant for personal glory or public recognition.
She encouraged believers to cultivate a spirit of selflessness, adding that genuine generosity seeks only to uplift others.
The religious sister concluded her message by wishing everyone a joyful and blessed day.
