The family of Dennis Idahosa, Deputy Governor of Edo State, has announced the passing of his mother, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa, at the age of 95.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Friday Aghedo, the family disclosed that the revered matriarch died peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
According to the statement, the deceased, who hailed from Ovia South West Local Government Area, lived a long and impactful life marked by deep faith, strong moral values, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
“She was a venerable matriarch whose life was defined by strength of character and devotion. Her legacy of wisdom remains a source of pride and inspiration to all who knew her,” the statement read.
The Idahosa and Enabulele families expressed gratitude to God for her life and the values she imparted, noting that her influence would continue to guide future generations.
They also appealed for prayers and understanding during this period of mourning, adding that funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
