Veteran Nollywood actor Davis Offor, best remembered for his iconic role as Clarus in the classic sitcom New Masquerade, has passed away at the age of 85.
The news of his death was confirmed by fellow actor Tony Akposheri, who shared an emotional tribute on Instagram on Tuesday. In his post, Akposheri expressed deep shock and sorrow over the loss.
Reflecting on their recent time together, he revealed that they had met during the New Year celebrations, where they shared meaningful conversations and even made plans—unaware it would be their final meeting.
Offor’s passing marks the end of an era for many fans of Nigerian television, as his portrayal of Clarus remains one of the most memorable characters in the history of New Masquerade.
