In Benue State, troops of Operation Whirl Stroke successfully rescued 13 kidnapped passengers from a Benue Links bus in Ohimini LGA after a coordinated search-and-rescue mission. The victims, including students, received medical care, while authorities clarified that the attackers were local criminal elements rather than external armed groups.
Plateau State witnessed multiple interventions by troops under Operation Enduring Peace. Security forces rescued injured civilians from attacks, arrested suspects linked to violent crimes, and intercepted nine militia members allegedly involved in recent killings. Weapons and ammunition were recovered, and several operations helped de-escalate farmer-herder tensions and prevent reprisal attacks. Troops also foiled cattle rustling attempts and engaged armed militias in gun battles, neutralising several attackers.
In the North-East, Operation Hadin Kai recorded gains against insurgents. Troops neutralised terrorists attempting infiltration along the Kirawa-Pulka axis, repelled attacks in Benisheikh, and safely detonated improvised explosive devices in Borno State. In Yobe, three suspected ISWAP logistics suppliers were arrested in collaboration with local hunters.
Elsewhere, troops in Edo State foiled a kidnapping attempt, rescuing victims and arresting suspects. In Sokoto, soldiers repelled an हमला by armed terrorists in Sabon Birni, preventing further casualties. In Kogi State, security forces destroyed a suspected terrorist camp and disrupted supply routes by intercepting a logistics courier.
