President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Nigeria’s new Minister of Foreign Affairs.
She succeeds Yusuf Tuggar, who stepped down from the position to focus on his reported ambition to contest the Bauchi State governorship election in 2027.
In the same development, the president named Sola Enikanolaiye as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
The appointments were disclosed on Wednesday by the presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga.
The changes signal a new leadership structure in Nigeria’s foreign ministry as the administration continues to reposition its diplomatic engagements.
