The Tinubu Support Group (TSG), the umbrella body of support groups for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima on their nomination as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the 2027 general election.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai, on behalf of the group’s Founder and Convener, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, the organisation described the nomination as a demonstration of the ruling party’s confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima.
According to the statement, President Tinubu’s successful submission of his APC nomination form represents “a significant milestone” that reflects the party’s belief in his leadership and the continued relevance of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The group commended the President for what it described as his commitment to nation-building through economic reforms, infrastructure development, institutional strengthening and democratic consolidation, noting that these efforts have continued to inspire optimism among many Nigerians about the country’s future.
TSG also congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his renomination, describing it as a well-deserved recognition of his loyalty, competence, dedication and contributions to the success of the administration.
The statement further praised the working relationship between President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima, saying their partnership has demonstrated stability, teamwork and a shared commitment to advancing Nigeria’s national interest.
While acknowledging the country’s economic and governance challenges, the support group said the administration has remained focused on implementing strategic reforms aimed at laying the foundation for a stronger, more prosperous and globally competitive Nigeria. It added that the government’s commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable development continues to reassure citizens that present-day sacrifices are investments in a better future.
The organisation prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, strength and good health for both leaders as they prepare for the 2027 general election.
TSG also expressed confidence in the APC ticket, wishing President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima success in the election and expressing hope that their leadership would continue to promote national unity, democratic governance and sustainable development.
