The Wife of the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Dame Mrs. Catherine Onyeme, has reaffirmed her commitment to supporting initiatives of the Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU) Women Wing aimed at promoting unity, women empowerment, and the development of Delta State.
Mrs. Onyeme gave the assurance on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, when the National Executive Committee of the NNU Women Wing paid her a courtesy visit.

Speaking during the visit, the National Women Leader of the NNU, Dr. Barr. Chief (Mrs.) Cynthia Oputa-Governor, said the delegation visited the Deputy Governor’s wife to brief her on the activities of the Women Wing and strengthen the unity of Ndokwa women.
She explained that the visit also provided an opportunity to present the group’s forthcoming programmes and seek the Second Lady’s motherly advice, solidarity, and goodwill as the organisation prepares for a new phase of its activities.
According to Oputa-Governor, the meeting was highly successful, describing Dame Onyeme’s love and commitment to the Ndokwa people, particularly women, as inspiring.

Responding, Dame Mrs. Catherine Onyeme offered prayers for the peace, unity, and continued progress of Ndokwa Nation. She urged members of the NNU Women Wing to remain steadfast and optimistic, assuring them that brighter days lie ahead.

The Deputy Governor’s wife also declared her unwavering support for the activities of the NNU Women Wing, noting that their programmes align with efforts to promote development and complement the Delta State Government’s MORE Agenda.
She further encouraged the women to remain united and committed to their vision of advancing the welfare of Ndokwa women and contributing meaningfully to the development of Delta State.
