President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has renewed his appeal to Nigerians living abroad to return home and contribute their knowledge, skills, and experience to the country’s development.
The President made the call while receiving a delegation of Nigerian Diaspora Medical Associations at the State House, Abuja, where he highlighted the important role professionals in the diaspora can play in advancing critical sectors, particularly healthcare.
Tinubu stressed that Nigeria’s progress depends on harnessing the expertise, innovation, and global exposure of its citizens, regardless of where they currently reside.
He encouraged Nigerians overseas to consider returning home to help strengthen institutions, improve service delivery, and support efforts aimed at building a more prosperous nation.
The President’s remarks come amid ongoing discussions about reversing the “brain drain” that has seen many skilled Nigerian professionals relocate abroad in search of better opportunities.
