President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a trusted partner, patriot and dedicated public servant whose contributions have been invaluable to the administration.
Tinubu, in a birthday message to mark Shettima’s milestone, congratulated the Vice President’s wife, Nana, his children, family and political associates.
The President described Shettima as “not just a trusted ally or a valued colleague, but also a patriot whose life has been defined by service, commitment and sacrifice for worthy causes.”
He commended the Vice President for his distinguished career in banking and his record of service to Borno State and Nigeria, first as governor of the state and subsequently as Vice President.
According to Tinubu, Shettima has demonstrated courage, diligence, compassion and a strong commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians in both capacities.
“I acknowledge, in particular, Vice-President Shettima’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), support for the administration and his unwavering dedication to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the President said.
Tinubu also praised Shettima’s leadership as Chairman of the National Economic Council (NEC), saying he had provided purposeful coordination of economic policy while fostering collaboration between the Federal Government and sub-national governments.
The President further commended the Vice President’s respect for constitutional governance, democratic institutions, dialogue and consultation, noting that these qualities had contributed to strengthening good governance.
“As a trusted partner, his loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty have remained invaluable to the administration,” Tinubu said.
He thanked Shettima for his “steadfast support and partnership” as the administration continues to pursue its promises under the Renewed Hope agenda.
“I am confident that working together, we will continue to make meaningful progress in building the Nigeria of our dreams,” the President added.
Tinubu, on behalf of the Federal Government, again congratulated Shettima on attaining 60 and prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to guide, protect and strengthen him.
He also prayed for the Vice President to be blessed with wisdom, good health and many more years of purposeful service to Nigeria.
