The Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) has called on all eligible residents of Delta State who are 18 years and above, and without a Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC), to take advantage of the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

According to DSIEC, the online pre-registration exercise commenced on August 18, 2025, through the official INEC portal, cvr.inecnigeria.org, while in-person registration is scheduled to begin on August 25, 2025, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays, at all INEC Local Government Area offices and designated centres across the state.

The categories of persons expected to register include new voters who have attained the age of 18, individuals seeking replacement for lost or damaged PVCs, voters wishing to transfer their registration to new locations, and those who need to update their personal information such as name or address corrections.

DSIEC emphasized that participation in the voter registration exercise is both a right and a civic responsibility, urging residents to ensure their voices are heard in both national and local government elections.

The Commission noted that credible elections begin with proper voter registration and appealed to all Deltans to make their votes count.

“Your vote is your right and civic duty. Make it count,” DSIEC stated in its announcement.
