The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has dismissed as false and misleading the purported primary election results currently circulating on various platforms, stressing that its party primaries are scheduled to hold tomorrow, May 29, 2026.
In a statement issued by the party’s National Secretary, Barrister Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, the NDC described the reports of already declared winners as “impossible, illogical, and entirely fake,” noting that no valid results can emerge before the conduct of the primaries.
The party urged members of the public, supporters, and well-meaning Nigerians to disregard any unofficial results or rumours making the rounds, warning that only information released through official party channels should be considered authentic.
“NDC remains committed to conducting a transparent, credible, and democratic primary process,” the statement said.
The party also appealed to its registered members and supporters to remain calm, vigilant, and avoid spreading unverified information capable of misleading the public.
