Trouble seems brewing between the rank and file of the leadership of Delta State Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) following an alleged failed Overseas training.
It’s being rumoured that the N39 million is already tearing the State chapter of the Association apart
“After allegedly collecting the said N39 million from Delta State government, participants failed to attend the said training and pocketed the whopping sum……”
Amour Udemude, a Delta State born Journalist on his Social media handles, Facebook page lamented the unconfirmed report. ”
“The N39 million is currently generating serious controversy among members” and assured to investigate further.
“Developing story……”
However, theromanews contacted the Delta State Chairman of NAWOJ, Comrade Sonia Unobunjo and she reacted this way.
“The leadership of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ Delta State Chapter never wrote any letter to anyone for sponsorship for Overseas Training”
“Those peddling the rumour should produce the letter written by the leadership of NAWOJ Delta State Chapter to the State government”.
The writer is not a member of the association.
Comrade Sonia Unobunjo said the information is suspected to be coming from those who are desperate to cause problems in the leadership of the association.
