The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called off its two-week warning strike after an extensive National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Abuja.
The decision, announced by ASUU’s National President, Professor Chris Piwuna, came after a marathon deliberation that began on Tuesday and stretched into the early hours of Wednesday, ending around 4 a.m.
ASUU’s National President, Chris Piwuna, who said that while all demands have not been met, the Union recognized the Federal government’s willingness to re-engage in meaningful negotiation.
