EDE, OSUN — Osun State Governor and Accord Party governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, has arrived at his polling unit in Ede North Local Government Area to cast his vote in the ongoing Osun State governorship election.
Adeleke arrived at Polling Unit 009, Ward 02, Abogunde Compound, Ede North, as voters across the state turn out to participate in the election.
The election, being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday, August 15, 2026, is taking place across all 30 local government areas of Osun State.
The exercise marks a major electoral contest in the state, with Adeleke seeking another term in office amid competition from other candidates, including the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.
Voters and electoral officials had begun arriving at several polling units early Saturday ahead of accreditation and voting, with reports of significant voter turnout in parts of Ede and other locations.
