Senator Ede Dafinone has commiserated with the Delta State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Solomon Arenyeka, over the death of his mother, Mrs. Felicia Olumewo Arenyeka, JP, who died at the age of 91.
Dafinone made his feelings known in a condolence message following the funeral service held yesterday at the First Baptist Church, Warri, Delta State, in honour of the late matriarch.
The Senator joined the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori; former Governor of the state, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa; as well as other distinguished leaders, government officials and party stakeholders at the ceremony.
According to Dafinone, the funeral service was an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable life, values and enduring legacy of Mrs. Arenyeka, whom he described as a beloved matriarch whose impact would continue to be remembered by her family and community.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to Chief Solomon Arenyeka and the entire Arenyeka family, praying that God would comfort and strengthen them in their moment of grief.
“May the Almighty God comfort and strengthen them during this difficult time, and may the soul of Mama Felicia Olumewo Arenyeka rest in perfect peace. Amen,” Dafinone said.
