Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has described the discussions at the second day of the technical session of the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit 2026 as insightful, saying the ideas presented by investors would help shape the state’s development agenda.

The governor, who shared his reflections after attending the session, said he listened to investors and industry experts outline investment opportunities and strategies across key sectors, including agriculture, agribusiness, livestock, the blue economy and transport infrastructure.

According to Oborevwori, the technical session provided an opportunity to gain valuable insights from experts and panellists on practical approaches to attracting investment and driving sustainable economic growth in Delta State.

He noted that the discussions offered important lessons that the state government could adopt in strengthening policies and creating a more enabling environment for businesses and investors.

“It was an enlightening experience watching the experts deepen the discussions as panellists, with many valuable takeaways that we can adopt as a government,” the governor said.

Oborevwori described the summit as a rewarding experience and expressed appreciation to the panellists, invited guests and Deltans for their contributions to the event.

The Delta State Economic and Investment Summit 2026 brings together government officials, investors, business leaders and development partners to explore opportunities for economic diversification, investment promotion and sustainable development across the state.
