Senator Ede Dafinone of the Delta Central Senatorial District has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across Delta Central and Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Adha celebration, urging citizens to embrace peace, unity, compassion, and support for the less privileged.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message, Dafinone described the celebration as a reminder of the enduring virtues of faith, obedience, sacrifice, and total devotion to God, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
According to the senator, Eid al-Adha offers an opportunity for reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to values that strengthen families, communities, and the nation at large.
“As we celebrate, I urge us all to embrace the spirit of peace, compassion, generosity, and unity that defines Eid al-Adha. Let us continue to show love to one another, support those in need, and uphold mutual respect regardless of ethnic or religious differences,” he said.
Dafinone noted that Nigeria’s collective progress depends largely on citizens’ ability to live together harmoniously and work towards the common good.
The lawmaker also commended the Muslim community in Delta Central for their contributions to peace, growth, and development in the district, describing their resilience, enterprise, and commitment to peaceful coexistence as invaluable.
He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive representation and pledged continued support for initiatives aimed at empowering youths, strengthening families, and improving livelihoods across communities in the senatorial district.
“At this important moment in our national journey, I encourage all Nigerians to remain hopeful, united, and steadfast. Though challenges remain, we must continue to support one another and work collectively towards building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous nation,” Dafinone stated.
The senator expressed optimism that with faith, patience, and shared responsibility, the country would overcome its challenges and achieve lasting progress.
He further prayed for Allah to accept the prayers, sacrifices, and acts of worship of Muslim faithful, while wishing them a peaceful, joyful, and spiritually fulfilling Eid al-Adha celebration.
