Uyo — Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has received Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi, General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, on a courtesy visit to the Government House, Uyo, ahead of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi holding in the state.
Speaking during the visit, Governor Eno commended Pastor Kumuyi for his humility, fatherly leadership, and principled approach to the propagation of the Christian faith, noting that such qualities reflect the true essence of Christian leadership.

The governor contrasted Kumuyi’s approach with what he described as recent disparaging remarks made by another cleric against the people of Akwa Ibom, stressing that respect and love are essential in ministry.
“You cannot denigrate a people and expect them to receive your message. Love, respect, and humility must remain the foundational principles of Christian leadership,” Eno said.

He described Akwa Ibom State as peaceful, welcoming, and tolerant, reaffirming the state’s readiness to host religious leaders who preach unity and uphold the dignity of the people.
“We will always open our doors to men of God who preach love, unity, and respect for our people and our values,” the governor added.

Governor Eno thanked Pastor Kumuyi for the visit and prayers, wishing him a successful crusade, while reiterating his administration’s commitment to building a state anchored on peace, dignity, and progress.
Earlier, Pastor Kumuyi told the governor that he was in Uyo with his wife and other ministers for a five-day Global Crusade, which will also feature a Ministers’ Conference and an Impact Academy targeted at youths and young adults.

He expressed appreciation to the governor for the warm reception and formally invited Governor Eno, his wife, and members of the state executive council to attend the crusade.

Pastor Kumuyi later prayed for God’s grace, wisdom, growth, and blessings upon the governor and the Akwa Ibom State Government.
