Exciting football action highlighted the knockout stage of the Inter-House Football Tournament at Ibrede Grammar School in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State, as teams battled for places in the final.
In the opening fixture, Michael Obi House edged past Salome Odogu House with a narrow 1–0 victory. The decisive moment came in the 20th minute when Omomaro Francis calmly converted a penalty to give Michael Obi House the lead.
Salome Odogu House pushed hard for an equaliser, creating several chances, but the solid defence of Michael Obi House held firm until the final whistle.
The second semi-final clash produced even more drama as Micura House defeated Sunday Imogu House 2–1 in a lively encounter.
Micura House took the lead in the 35th minute through Ekpere Martins, who finished clinically to put his side ahead before halftime.
Sunday Imogu House responded strongly after the break, and Okafor Ebube brought his team level in the 50th minute, raising hopes of a comeback.
However, Micura House quickly regained control, and Ezekiel Ubiomo netted the decisive goal in the 55th minute to seal a hard-fought victory.
With the results, Michael Obi House and Micura House have booked their places in the final as the competition moves closer to its climax.
The big question now is which house will lift the trophy as the tournament reaches its thrilling conclusion.
