Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the payment of financial assistance to 533 Delta State indigenes who successfully graduated from the Nigerian Law School in the 2025 session.
The approval, announced by the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, is aimed at supporting human capital development and easing the financial burden on newly qualified legal practitioners as they begin their careers.
In a public notice published in The Pointer newspaper on Thursday, the Board disclosed that the beneficiaries are expected to submit the required documents electronically between July 23 and July 29, 2026, to enable the processing and disbursement of the approved funds.
According to the notice, applicants are required to submit a copy of their Nigerian Law School admission letter, Certificate of Call to the Bar, a valid means of identification, Local Government identification, and bank account details.
The Board directed all eligible graduates to scan and send the documents to its official email address, dsbb@deltastate.gov.ng, within the stipulated deadline.
The Executive Secretary of the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, Dr. Godfrey Enita, who signed the notice, urged all beneficiaries to comply with the submission requirements promptly to avoid delays in receiving the financial assistance.
The intervention reflects Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to advancing education and professional development under his MORE Agenda, which prioritises investment in human capital and youth empowerment across Delta State.
The financial support is expected to provide much-needed relief to the newly called lawyers as they transition into legal practice.
