Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has sworn in Andrew Momodu as a new commissioner in the Edo State Executive Council, charging him to work in the interest of the people of the state.

Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony held in his office, the governor congratulated Momodu on his appointment and urged him to collaborate with members of the administration to advance the government’s SHINE Agenda and improve the welfare of Edo citizens.

Governor Okpebholo described the new commissioner as a hardworking individual capable of contributing meaningfully to the delivery of good governance in the state.

“I congratulate you. You are fortunate to be coming in at a time when we are almost done with the swearing-in of commissioners. I know you to be a hardworking person, and I believe you can perform. That is why we chose you for this position. Go ahead and do your best to protect the interests of Edo people,” the governor said.

In his response, Momodu expressed gratitude to God and to the governor for the opportunity to serve the people of the state. He described the appointment as a rare privilege and pledged not to take the opportunity for granted.

According to him, he is committed to supporting the governor’s development programmes and contributing to the administration’s efforts to deliver effective governance.

“I am here to key into and add value to the programmes of Governor Okpebholo. I will work with him to deliver good governance to Edo people,” he said.
