Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, on Wednesday held a meeting with envoys and representatives from key diplomatic missions in Abuja.
The meeting, which took place in Nigeria’s capital, brought together officials from the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and France, highlighting continued international engagement with the former Anambra State governor.
Details of the visit were shared on X by Esther Umoh, who served as Obi’s campaign photographer during the 2023 elections. She noted that the gathering included the British High Commissioner as well as representatives from the German, Canadian, and French embassies.

While specifics of the discussions were not disclosed, the meeting underscores Obi’s ongoing interactions with members of the diplomatic community following his participation in Nigeria’s last presidential race.
Obi, widely known for his emphasis on governance reforms and economic prudence, remains an influential voice in national discourse and continues to engage with both local and international stakeholders on issues affecting Nigeria.
