Senator Mrs Oluremi Tinubu flags off National Measles -Rubella Vaccine Campaign

  • Poised to ensuring that Nigerian children are protected against measles, rubella, polio, and HPV – A vaccine in a vial, the wife of the President of the Federal Republic, Senator Mrs Oluremi Tinubu has flagged off National Measles -Rubella Vaccine Campaign.

 

The campaign estimated to protect over 100 million children in the country, it’s revealed, does not save a child but must be administered.

The campaign it is learnt, is the largest health initiative in Africa’s history.

 

“Yesterday, alongside the Honourable Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, the Executive Director of NPHCDA, Dr. Muyi Aina, and other distinguished partners from the Gates Foundation, Gavi Vaccine Alliance, UNICEF, WHO, the Ooni of Ife, the Sultan of Sokoto, and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), I officially flagged off the National Measles-Rubella Vaccine Campaign, the largest health initiative in Africa’s history”.

“This campaign will protect over 100 million Nigerian children against measles, rubella, polio, and HPV – A vaccine in a vial does not save a child but it must be administered”.

 

Mrs Oluremi Tinubu urged every parent and community leader to support this effort to keep our children safe, healthy, and thriving.
