The suspected kidnappers of passengers of an 18-seater bus belonging to New Edo Line and a Toyota Camry along the Owan-Auchi road have reportedly contacted the victims’ families, demanding a N15 million ransom for each person.
Gunmen had kidnapped the passengers on September 5, 2025. While 16 of the victims were rescued by the Edo State Police Command, the kidnappers took the remaining passengers into the bush.
It has been confirmed that the kidnappers allegedly contacted the family of one of the victims, Gloria Ikhaghu, who was returning home after her late father’s funeral rites in the Okpekpe community.
