SINGAPORE — The Founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, has been formally recognized by the World Book of Records, London, for his outstanding contributions to global evangelism through Deeper Christian Life Ministry and the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK).
The recognition was presented during a special ceremony held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Singapore. Pastor Kumuyi was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Esther Kumuyi, while the award was presented by Mr. Eleazar, a representative of the World Book of Records, London.
The event drew a distinguished audience that included church leaders, pastors, Christian ministers, business executives, and public figures from Singapore and other countries, who gathered to celebrate the milestone.
Receiving the honour, Pastor Kumuyi reflected on the humble beginnings of the ministry in 1973 with a small Bible study fellowship of 15 university students. More than five decades later, he said, God has continued to demonstrate His faithfulness by expanding the ministry’s global reach.
While expressing gratitude for the recognition, Pastor Kumuyi emphasized that his greatest desire has never been earthly honours or titles but faithfulness to God’s calling.
“The ultimate ledger that matters is the Book of Life, and the only recognition that endures for eternity is the record of souls saved, restored, and prepared for heaven,” he said.
He noted that the recognition is not a personal achievement but a testimony to the continuing advancement of the Great Commission through the ministry’s worldwide evangelistic efforts.
According to him, in its five years of operation, the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) has reached more than 50 million people across the world, with over 900,000 individuals making commitments to Christ. He explained that every crusade, satellite broadcast, and outreach is dedicated to proclaiming the message of salvation, healing, holiness, and preparation for eternal life.
Pastor Kumuyi further stated that true excellence in ministry is measured not by human recognition but by unwavering commitment to God’s Word, holy living, righteous conduct, and uncompromising truth.
He dedicated the honour entirely to God, saying, “We take no glory for what God has done. We lay every honour at the feet of the Master, grateful for the privilege to be His servants. The work is not yet finished; millions are still waiting for the message of eternal life.”
Concluding his remarks, Pastor Kumuyi declared that all glory, honour, and adoration belong to God alone and reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to taking the Gospel to every nation until Christ is exalted throughout the world.
Members of Deeper Christian Life Ministry and the wider Body of Christ have continued to celebrate the recognition, describing it as an encouragement to remain steadfast in the mission of global evangelism and discipleship.
