As part of activities marking World Ocean Day 2026, Energy and Maritime Reporters (EMR) will host the 15th edition of its flagship television programme, EMR Round Table, focusing on the theme: “World Ocean Day Celebration: Exploring Nigeria’s Emerging Blue Economy.”

The live discussion is scheduled to air on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Rivers State Television (RSTV), Channel 142 on GOtv.

The programme will feature prominent maritime and media stakeholders, including Fynface Dumnane Fynface and Sir Ignatius Chukwu, Regional Editor of BusinessDay Newspaper, who will provide expert insights into the opportunities, challenges, and prospects within Nigeria’s growing blue economy.

The discussion will be anchored by Comrade Martins Giadom and is expected to examine the critical role of the maritime sector in driving economic growth, job creation, environmental sustainability, and national development.

Viewers and stakeholders across the maritime, energy, and environmental sectors are encouraged to participate in the conversation through the programme’s live streaming platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube via RSTV PH. The event will also be streamed live on the Energy and Maritime Reporters (EMR) Facebook page.

According to the organisers, the programme is designed to promote informed dialogue on ocean conservation, sustainable maritime practices, and the strategic importance of Nigeria’s marine resources in advancing the nation’s economic diversification agenda.

EMR reaffirmed its commitment to fostering industry development, regional advancement, and public awareness through credible energy and maritime journalism.

For sponsorship and partnership enquiries, interested organisations and individuals can contact Comrade Martins Giadom on 08037058652 or Sir Ignatius Chukwu on 08063004210.
