ABUJA – The Eyewitness Network (EWN) has reaffirmed its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged to intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general election.

The commitment was made during a courtesy visit by the National Executive of the Network, led by its National Director, EXlibris Christopher Ekefre, to the Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai, in Abuja on Wednesday.

Speaking during the meeting, Yakasai commended the Eyewitness Network for what he described as its patriotism, vision, and commitment to promoting national discourse.

According to him, many of the positions expressed by the organization align with the objectives of the Tinubu Support Group.

He said great leaders are often misunderstood before their achievements are fully appreciated, adding that President Tinubu’s reforms are aimed at securing Nigeria’s long-term prosperity.

Yakasai described the President as a courageous leader whose policies are focused on the country’s future and urged Nigerians to remain committed to contributing positively to national development.

He also praised the Network for publishing books and promoting public discourse without financial inducement, describing the initiative as an act of genuine patriotism.

The TSG Director-General assured the delegation of his willingness to work closely with the organization and pledged his full support for future collaborations.

He further urged members of the Eyewitness Network to intensify efforts at mobilizing support for President Tinubu’s administration across the country, arguing that continuity in governance would promote national stability, sustainable development, accelerated economic growth, and lasting progress.

In his remarks, the National Director of Eyewitness Network, Christopher Ekefre, reiterated the organization’s unwavering support for President Tinubu and pledged to expand grassroots engagement in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 polls.

Ekefre disclosed that the Network has established structures in all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, adding that it remains committed to enlightening Nigerians, countering misinformation with facts, promoting national unity, and supporting policies aimed at advancing national development.

He also pledged that the organization would mobilize support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid nationwide and announced that the Eyewitness Network would support the Tinubu Support Group’s weekly Friday activities by providing refreshments as part of the partnership between both organizations.

The meeting ended with both groups expressing confidence that closer collaboration would strengthen support for the Renewed Hope Agenda while contributing to Nigeria’s peace, unity, and national development.

The visit was attended by members of the National Executive and Abuja chapter of the Eyewitness Network, as well as members of the management of the Tinubu Support Group.

The positions expressed during the meeting were contained in a statement signed by the National Secretary of the Eyewitness Network, Dr. Saviour Ekpe.
