President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have paid glowing tributes to Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), on the occasion of his 84th birthday.
In a personally signed congratulatory message released on Sunday, the President and the First Lady described Pastor Adeboye, fondly known as Daddy G.O., as one of Nigeria’s greatest gifts and “a spiritual fortress” who continually intercedes for the nation and its people before God Almighty.
According to the statement, Pastor Adeboye’s humility is sincere and his wisdom extraordinary, noting that his contributions to national development extend far beyond the pulpit. The presidential couple highlighted his impact in philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment, in addition to his decades of spiritual leadership.
“We celebrate the grace of stewardship and leadership upon the life of Pastor Adeboye as he marks his 84th birthday on March 2, 2026,” the statement read. “We congratulate him and join his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, members of the RCCG, and the Body of Christ in thanking God for the General Overseer’s exceptional life of impact that transcends cultures and borders.”
President Tinubu and the First Lady also expressed appreciation for the cleric’s unceasing prayers for Nigeria, commending what they described as his patriotic zeal, manifest determination, and unwavering commitment to the nation’s progress.
They further acknowledged Pastor Adeboye’s unique leadership role, noting that his teachings over the past five decades have continued to shape and transform lives across generations within Nigeria and internationally.
“As Daddy G.O. celebrates this special day, we pray that God Almighty will continue to bless him with good health and strength as he carries on his work in the Lord’s vineyard,” the statement concluded.
