Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku (Aigbodekhe-Ini of Sobe Kingdom) has been awarded a Special Recognition Award from the Association of Agricultural Technologists of Nigeria AATON, this according to the association is in recognition of the Speaker’s passion for People oriented developmental Strides as Speaker and Member Representing Owan West Constituency.
Speaking after being bestowed with the prestigious award, Rt Hon Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku (Aigbodekhe-Ini of Sobe Kingdom) thanked the group for finding him worthy for the award.
Rt Hon Blessing Agbebaku disclosed that he is an Agricultural Development enthusiast ,who loves to farm as a way of helping in food security.
The Speaker reiterated his call to Youths to embrace farming, stressing that food security can be achieved if everyone did a little subsistence farming around their homes.
He thanked the Association for the award which he said would spur him to do more in Agricultural Development and food security.
Speaking earlier the chairman of the Association, Edereno Kingsley who led others to the Speaker’s office for the presentation disclosed that the Speaker’s love of Farming and Food security endeared them to give him the award.
He stressed that the association just held its National Conference and Annual General Meeting at It’s National Secretariat at NIFOR to elect new officers to run the association.
He thanked the Speaker for his warm reception and acceptance of the award.
The brief event climaxed with the presentation of the Award to the Speaker.
