Veteran Journalist Dan Agbese, Co-Founder of Newswatch, Dies in Lagos

Dan Agbese, renowned journalist and co-founder of Newswatch magazine, has passed away.

 

Family sources confirmed that Agbese died early this morning in Lagos at the age of 81.

 

Widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Nigerian journalism, Agbese helped shape the country’s media landscape through his decades of incisive writing, editorial leadership and commitment to public-interest reporting.

 

Further details on funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family.
