Usama Abdullahi, a 24-year-old man from Shelleng LGA in Adamawa State, says he deeply regrets stealing packs of noodles for his three girlfriends after none of them showed up to visit him in prison.
Abdullahi, who worked at a local car wash, fled to another town after committing the theft but was eventually arrested. He was subsequently handed a two-year prison sentence and remanded at the Shelleng Satellite Custodial Facility.
Speaking from custody, he admitted to the offence.
“I stole Indomie and shared it with my three girlfriends,” he said. “But since I got here, none of them has visited me. I’ll end all the relationships once I’m released.”
The convict said he has learned his lesson and hopes for a fresh start after regaining his freedom.
