Former Vice President of Nigeria, , has held a closed-door meeting with fellow presidential aspirant in Lagos, signaling a renewed commitment to work together following the conclusion of the ADC presidential primary.

The meeting, which took place behind closed doors, was aimed at fostering reconciliation and strengthening unity within the party after the keenly contested primary election.

Sources familiar with the discussions said both leaders emphasized the need for cohesion among opposition forces and agreed to put aside any differences arising from the primary process in the interest of a common political objective.

Atiku and Hayatu-Deen reportedly resolved to work closely together to strengthen the party and build a formidable platform capable of challenging the ruling (APC) in future elections.

The reconciliation talks are being viewed by political observers as a significant step toward consolidating opposition support and promoting internal harmony within the party ahead of upcoming political contests.

The meeting also underscored the importance of unity, inclusiveness and collective action among party stakeholders as efforts intensify to provide Nigerians with an alternative political vision.

While details of the discussions were not made public, the outcome is expected to boost confidence among supporters and reinforce the party’s determination to present a united front in its quest to challenge the APC’s hold on power.
