The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, OON, CON, was on Saturday installed as the Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua by the Ooni of Ife, His Royal Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, in a historic ceremony held in Ile-Ife.
The prestigious title, conferred in the presence of eminent personalities and cultural custodians across Yorubaland, was described as a recognition of Senator Tinubu’s longstanding contributions to national development, community upliftment and the promotion of Yoruba values.

Representatives of the Ogun State Government, who witnessed the installation, expressed pride in the honour bestowed on the First Lady. They commended her record of service, humility and unwavering commitment to the progress of Nigeria, noting that her support and partnership with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, have been instrumental to his leadership journey.

Senator Tinubu was celebrated as a distinguished figure whose influence extends beyond political circles. She was praised for championing initiatives that empower communities, nurture sound values and promote unity across the Yoruba nation.

The Ogun State Government extended warm congratulations on behalf of the government and people of the state, praying for continued strength, favour and fulfilment for the First Lady as she assumes her new cultural responsibilities.
