Rejoice Otobo, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State, has said the party will abide by the political directives of Nyesom Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Otobo made the statement on Sunday during a stakeholders’ meeting held in the LGA, which was attended by Wike. She noted that residents and party stakeholders in the area had resolved to align with whatever political direction the former Rivers governor provides.

According to her, the APC in Ahoada West is waiting for Wike’s guidance on the 2027 elections and is prepared to act accordingly.

“We await instructions from you on the 2027 elections concerning Rivers State. Wherever you ask us to go, there we shall go; whatever you ask us to do is what we will do,” Otobo said.

She added that political actors across the LGA, irrespective of affiliations, were united in their decision to follow Wike’s lead.

“All the good and the bad people of the LGA have decided that where you want us to go is where we will go,” she stated.

Similarly, Ikechukwu Obuzor, chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ahoada West LGA, also pledged loyalty to the FCT minister during the meeting.
