The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted Nollywood actress Angela Okorie bail in the sum of ₦5 million over allegations of cyberstalking and criminal defamation, TheCable reports.
Okorie was re-arraigned on Friday before Justice Emeka Nwite on a seven-count charge bordering on alleged violations of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015.
The charges stem from an ongoing public feud between the actress and her colleague, Mercy Johnson, which allegedly played out on social media platforms.
According to the charge, Okorie was accused of engaging in online activities between 2024 and 2025 that contravened provisions of the Cybercrime Act.
She pleaded not guilty to all the counts.
Justice Nwite subsequently granted the actress bail in the sum of ₦5 million and adjourned the matter for further hearing.
