Gunmen have reportedly abducted a nurse and three other individuals at the Makeke Maternity/Health Centre in Makeke community, Ososo Zone of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, Edo State.
According to Sahara Reporters, the incident occurred on Sunday evening at about 8:00 p.m., when armed assailants stormed the health facility and forcibly took away four persons, including the nurse who was on duty at the time.
Residents of the community were said to have been thrown into panic following the attack, as the gunmen reportedly operated unhindered before escaping with their victims to an unknown destination.
As of the time of filing this report, details surrounding the identities of the abducted persons and any rescue or security response remain unclear.
