The Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers has congratulated the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, on his emergence as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria.

In a press release jointly signed by the Chairman of the Council, HRM Felix Mujakperuo, Orodje of Okpe Kingdom; First Vice Chairman, HRM SP Luke; and Second Vice Chairman, HRM Henry Afamefuna Kikachukwu, the monarchs described Guwor’s emergence as “a rare feat” worthy of gratitude to God and commendation from stakeholders across the state.

The Council praised the Speaker’s legislative competence and dedication to public service, noting that his “dexterity, dint of hard work and resilience in legislative performance” have earned him the recognition.

“On behalf of the entire Traditional Rulers of Delta State, we join your family, political associates, numerous well wishers and the Government of Delta State to felicitate with you on the occasion of your emergence as the Chairman, Conference of Speakers of Nigeria,” the statement read.

According to the royal fathers, the new position will further strengthen his commitment to democratic values and national development.

“This golden feather added to your numerous achievements… will further shape your enthusiasm to serve mankind and increase your desire to ensure the deepening of democracy in our dear country,” the statement added.

The Monarchs also offered prayers for divine guidance and success as he assumes leadership of the national body of state legislators.

“We pray the Lord Almighty continue to illuminate your path, broaden your horizon as you pilot the affairs of this very important body to enviable heights,” the monarchs stated.
