Governor Seyi Makinde has assured families of pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area that the state government is making every possible effort to secure their safe release.
The governor gave the assurance during a visit to Oriire LGA, where he met with relatives of the victims who were kidnapped about two weeks ago.
Speaking after listening to the concerns of family members, Makinde expressed sympathy with the affected families and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that the abducted children and teachers are rescued unharmed.

According to the governor, security agencies and relevant authorities are working tirelessly to secure the release of the victims and reunite them with their loved ones.
“I assured them that we are doing everything humanly possible to ensure the safe return of those who were kidnapped, and that by the grace of God, they will be reunited with their loved ones very soon,” Makinde said.
The governor’s visit comes amid growing concerns over the safety of schoolchildren and teachers following the abduction, which has drawn widespread attention and calls for urgent action.
Makinde reiterated the government’s determination to protect lives and property across the state and pledged continued support for the affected families until the victims regain their freedom.
