Teach Me to Do Your Will: Living Each Day with Eternal Wisdom

Good morning to all believers in Christ Jesus. Glory be to God for the gift of life granted to us and to our families. We thank Him for bringing us into a new day in the land of the living.

Pause for a moment and reflect:

Who woke you up this morning?

How did you rise from sleep?

As we approach a new season, let us align our hearts with God and walk in spiritual awareness.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY – Monday, February 16, 2026.

Psalm 143:10

“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”

Whoever stops learning has begun to die spiritually. There is always room to grow in our knowledge of the Lord and His Word, if we remain humble and willing to be taught.

David, the psalmist, had this posture. From his heart he prayed:

“Teach me to do Your will.”

What was the will of God that David longed to understand?

1. To Number His Days

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

Psalm 90:12

Living as though our lives are fully in our own control leads to pride and spiritual blindness. Scripture reminds us that life is fragile and temporary.

“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.”

Proverbs 27:1

We are called to live wisely, humbly, and purposefully.

Are you mindful that your time on earth is limited and precious?

2. To Understand His End

David prayed to understand the brevity of life and the seriousness of eternity (Psalm 39:4–6).

Life is not only about accumulation, success, or recognition. It is about standing before God with a faithful heart.

How will your life be remembered before God?

“Well done, good and faithful servant,”

or

“Depart from me”?

This question invites sober reflection and intentional living.

3. To Live Godly with Contentment

“Godliness with contentment is great gain.”

1 Timothy 6:6

We brought nothing into this world and will take nothing out. Contentment frees us from the trap of endless striving and anchors us in eternal values.

The call of Scripture is to pursue righteousness, faith, love, patience, and humility.

Are you living with godliness and contentment in today’s world?

May the Lord, in His mercy, teach us how to live lives that please Him as we journey through this world, in the precious name of Yeshua HaMashiach. Amen.

Prayer Points

1. Offer thanksgiving, praise, and worship for God’s mercy and the gift of life.

2. Pray Psalm 143:10 personally into your life.

3. Ask for renewed grace to live with an eternal perspective.

4. Pray that your life will end with God’s approval: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

5. Pray for missionaries serving in

Mozambique,

Central African Republic,

Papua New Guinea, and across West Africa, including Minna in Nigeria.

6. Pray for Israel, for the peace of Jerusalem, and for spiritual awakening among the Jewish people worldwide.

7. Pray for Nigeria and her future national leadership.

Pray for spiritual leaders, intercessors, pastors, and their families.

Pray for the leadership and vision of the Intercessors for Nigeria.

Shalom.
