Good morning to all believers in Christ Jesus. Today is another gift, a new opportunity to walk with the Lord in purity, peace, humility, meekness, and gentleness, without partiality or hypocrisy. May we receive the grace to walk worthy of this calling, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
We thank Almighty God for the privilege of life and for keeping us among the living on planet earth. Hallelujah! Glory to God!
Thought for Today – Wednesday, February 18, 2026
Psalm 23:4
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.”
This psalm of David presents the relationship between the sheep and the Shepherd. There are seasons in life when the sheep finds itself in a valley, a valley of despair, depression, discouragement, or deep uncertainty. In such moments, it may feel as though hope is fading.
Yet the sheep declares confidence because of unwavering trust in the Shepherd: “I will fear no evil.” Why? “For Thou art with me.”
Every believer in Christ is a sheep under the care of the Good Shepherd. Jesus Himself assures us that He knows His sheep, calls them by name, and gives them eternal security. No force can snatch them from His hand.
In the times we live in both in our nation and across the world, the security of human life is increasingly fragile. Governments, institutions, and individuals invest heavily in protection. But for believers, our ultimate assurance rests in the Word and presence of God.
Other scriptures that strengthen this confidence include:
Psalm 127:1. True protection comes from the Lord.
Job 5:12. God frustrates the plans of the wicked.
Isaiah 43:2. God’s presence sustains us through every trial.
Matthew 28:20. Christ is with us always.
Acts 12. Prayer releases divine intervention and deliverance.
In this season of global uncertainty, we trust that neither we nor our loved ones will fall victim to violence, tragedy, or evil schemes. May divine protection surround us as we go out and come in, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
