IGP Disu Orders Sweeping Redeployment of Senior Police Officers Nationwide

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved a comprehensive redeployment of senior officers across key formations and departments of the Nigeria Police Force as part of efforts to boost operational efficiency, strengthen leadership, and enhance service delivery nationwide.

According to a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Okon Placid, the postings reflect the Force’s commitment to maintaining an effective command structure and ensuring the strategic deployment of personnel across Commands, Departments, and Formations.

Among the new postings, AIG Ado Emmanuel has been assigned to the Department of Research and Planning at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, while AIG Joseph Eribo moves to the Department of Armament. AIG Miller G. Dantawaye takes over at the Department of Operations, and AIG Henry Ifeanyi Uche has been posted to Training and Development. AIG Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo will oversee Police Accounts and Budget, while AIG Dahiru Mohammed has been deployed to Zone 15, Maiduguri.

Other deployments include AIG Dankombo F. Morris to Zone 4, Makurdi; AIG Bello Shehu to Zone 14, Katsina; AIG Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba to Legal Services at Force Headquarters; and AIG Ahmed Musa to Community Policing. AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh has been posted to Zone 2, Lagos, while AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom heads to the FCID Annex, Lagos. AIG Haruna Olufemi will serve at the Special Protection Unit, Force Headquarters.

At the Commissioner of Police level, CP Haruna Alaba Yahaya has been posted to Jigawa State Command, while CP Betty Enekpen Otimenyin takes charge of Welfare at Force Headquarters. CP Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola moves to Oyo State Command, CP Yemi John Oyeniyi to Delta State Command, and CP Olubode Ojajuni to Ogun State Command. CP Michael Adegoroye Falade has been assigned to Ekiti State Command, while CP Yakubu Useni Dankaro takes over in Adamawa State.

Further postings include CP Muhammed Sanusi Ahmed to the Federal Capital Territory Command, CP Olatunji Olaiwola Fatai to Lagos State Command, CP Morkwap S. Dongshal to Taraba State Command, CP Ahmed Mohammed Bello to Zamfara State Command, CP Umar Ali Fagge to Katsina State Command, and CP Hayatu Shaffa Hassan to Sokoto State Command.

The redeployment also covers strategic units and specialized formations. CP Akan Ezima has been appointed Director of the NPF-NCCC in Abuja, while CP Abbas Sule moves to the Special Protection Unit. CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue has been assigned to INTERPOL, Abuja, and CP Mnwadiogbu Cletus becomes Deputy Commandant at the Police Academy (POLAC).

Other assignments include CP Moses Ashu Otta to SWAT, Abuja; CP Abdulrahim A. Shuaibu to the Eastern Ports Authority; CP Sarah Ehindero to Administration at FCID, Abuja; and CP Edwin Ogbegbghagha as Provost, Force Headquarters. CP Preye R. Egbe has been posted to INEC, Abuja, while CP Adebisi Bola Lateef moves to Master Printing, Lagos.

Additional postings see CP Fidelis N. Ogarabe deployed to INTERPOL Annex, Lagos; CP Theodore C. Obasi as Deputy Commandant at Police College, Ikeja; and CP Eloho E. Okpoziakpo to the Special Fraud Unit, Ikoyi. CP Kayode Uthman Magaji will head K9 operations at Dei-Dei under the Department of Operations, while CP Rebecca Uchenna Okereke has been appointed Director of Music at Force Headquarters.

The Inspector-General of Police urged all affected officers to bring their experience to bear in their new roles and to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and service in the discharge of their duties.
