Iran on Tuesday morning launched another wave of missiles targeting Israel, according to announcements from the country’s state media.
The state-run Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), in a post on its Telegram channel, said Iran had fired a “new wave of missiles” toward what it described as “occupied territories.” The broadcaster later claimed that some of the missiles penetrated multiple layers of Israeli air defence systems.
In Israel, emergency responders confirmed damage following the strikes. The Magen David Adom rescue service released footage showing a building hit in the northern part of the country, noting that no fatalities were recorded in the incident.
Meanwhile, loud explosions were reported in Jerusalem, as the Israeli military issued alerts confirming it had detected incoming missiles and was actively working to intercept them.
The developments mark a further escalation in tensions between Iran and Israel, with both sides on heightened alert.
