The funeral mass and burial of late Mr. Anthony Ohwomuighe Ikpinyaro will take place today, April 24, 2026, at Saint Andrew’s Catholic Church in Ibrede Community, Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to a statement released to newsmen and signed by Mr Obewor Othuke on behalf of the family, “the Obewor and Eveso families of Ibrede announced with deep sorrow the passing of their son, brother, husband, cousin, and nephew, who “slept in the Lord” on April 3, 2026”.

Mr. Ikpinyaro, fondly called Tony, died at the age of 56. He is survived by his wife, sister, and other relatives.

A vigil mass was earlier held in his honor on April 21, 2026, at Patrick Catholic Church, Yoruba Road, Sapele, Delta State.

The statement further noted that an outing service will be held on April 26, 2026, at Saint Andrew’s Catholic Church, Ibrede.

Family members and acquaintances have described his death as a painful and traumatic loss, while expressing faith in God’s will. They took solace in his devout Christian life, expressing hope of reunion “at the feet of Christ on the resurrection morning.”

“Rest on, Tony,” the family said in tribute. “You will be greatly missed.”
