The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence that Nigerians will re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, citing what it described as increasing public trust in his administration’s policies.
The party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Duro Meseko, made the assertion on Sunday while speaking at the Odo-Ape Development and Cultural Day celebration in Lokoja.
Meseko said the President’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” is already delivering measurable outcomes across critical sectors, including security, the economy, and governance. He noted that these reforms are gradually shaping public opinion in favour of both the President and the ruling party ahead of the next electoral cycle.
According to him, Nigeria’s multi-party democracy remains intact despite the increasing number of politicians joining the APC. He argued that the presence of multiple registered political parties across the country contradicts claims that Nigeria is drifting toward a one-party system.
Speaking on security, Meseko stated that the Federal Government has continued to invest in strengthening the nation’s security framework, with ongoing efforts to tackle banditry and insurgency showing signs of progress.
On the economy, he said the administration’s reform policies have attracted positive reviews from global financial institutions such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. He added that indicators such as foreign reserve levels and price adjustments in the market reflect the direction of the government’s economic strategy.
Meseko expressed optimism that these developments would translate into strong electoral support for President Tinubu and the APC in 2027.
